Scott has been in the building business since 1981, when he first received his building license.  He was a painting contractor for approximately 15 years, painting residential homes and commercial buildings with a 14 person crew.  The painting business was located at 9 Mile & Harper in St. Clair Shores, MI.

Soon after the painting company started, Scott began buying homes and fixing them up for resale.  At this time he also started Michigan Deck Builders, Inc.  

Scott enjoys all phases of the building or construction business, but feels it is best to specialize in select areas and do those tasks right!

There are many companies that will attempt to do anything in the building business and claim they do it great. Common sense and experience tell you that they can't.
